COLONIC HYDROTHERAPY

Clarissa (Inner Glow) has trained with Australia’s leading Colon Hydrotherapy organisation and will make you feel comfortable with your treatment. She will confidently take your full medical history and explain the process to you. You will need to fill out a medical and content form. 

You will undress from waist down and be provided a towel for drapping and privacy. Laying side lying, Clarissa will then gently insert the single use, sterile equipment and start the Colonic's process, this is a quick and discreet process. 

Once on the machine you will be face up with knees comfortable bent. Warm and cool water flushes can be used, the machine is a closed system so there isn't any smell. There is a screen on the machine so Clarissa can explain to you what's passing through and happening with your digestion (if you want to know, most people do). Clarissa can provide stomach massage to elivate any cramping discomfort if present, the machine has a pressure gauge and the therapist is with you the entire treatment. You have complete comfort knowing you are in trained and safe hands, while any questions can be answered on the spot as well. 

After the session is complete, you'll be asked to use the toilet and Clarissa then starts the room santiation processes, so when you return it's clothes on and wrapping up the session. 

It is more comfortable to refrain from eating a minimum of two hours before your appointment.

For best results:

• Drink plenty of water.
• Minimise alcohol, ideally none.
• Eat lightly; vegetables and grain, avoid meat for 24 hours.

No, Clarissa’s trained to make sure your dignity and privacy are maintained at all times and there is no odour using a closed system. Clarissa has been a Colonic's therapist for many years and has had many first timers on her table and also season veterans that have regular sessions.  

In short, no. However, if a major impaction is being removed you may experience cramping. This is quite common if there's a lot of banked-up fecal matter or constipation. Once the waste is removed you will feel pleasant. Colonics re-establish the tone of the colon, like a gym work out for the bowel. 

In the event of irritated hemorrhoid, using anusole a week before the treatment is advised.
